At fbomb, Deuce, myself and The Kidd try our hardest to avoid politics. Its boring, repetative, and may as well be compressed and manufactured as a flaccid enducing drug. Got an ill-advised chubby? Turn on MSNBC.
Regardless - remaining bipartisan - I have found great joy in Sarah Palin's commentary over that last couple months, and have found even greater joy in exploring her overall political career. She has left me no choice but to keep a running log on the stream of sillyness pouring from her aged, yet succulent lips.
Without further a due, let the charades begin:
"I will unambiguously, steadfastly, and doggedly guard the interests of this great state, as a mother naturally guards her own. Like a Southeast Eagle and her eaglets, or, more appropriately here in the Carlson, like a Nanook defending her cub." (No joke, she actually said this, verbatem, in her 12/06 inaugural address)
"I think they're just not used to someone coming in from the outside saying, 'You know what? It's time that normal Joe Six-Pack American is finally represented in the position of vice presidency,' and I think that that's kind of taken some people off-guard," (Palin, 9/08, on Hugh Hewitt radio talkshow)
"I've been so focused on state government, I haven't really focused much on the war in Iraq." – (Palin, 3/07, interview with Alaska Business Monthly)
[When asked by Katie Couric, for a second time, (9/24/08) in a CBS interview to give SPECIFIC examples of MCcain's push for more regulation in his 26 years in the Senate, Palin responded:]
"I'll try to find you some and I'll bring 'em to ya!" (Palin, 9/24, CBS interview with Katie Couric)
